Medline Industries UK are delighted to announce an agreement with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to supply HemolexTM topical haemostat. This agreement provides the Trust with a product that is fast & effective as well as providing a cost saving.
HemolexTM quickly arrests venous bleeding and capillary oozing. Its native collagen structure creates an ideal environment for platelet aggregation, and HemolexTM helps prevent re-bleeding – one of the most common post-operative complications.
Unlike other haemostats, HemolexTM consists of collagen types I, III and V fibres with substantially retained native (original) protein structures that are essential for haemostatic activity. The fibres form an open-pored matrix with a large inner surface, providing an ideal environment for platelet aggregation. 1
