Challenges and Change:
leading from the front line

This year’s congress theme has emerged from the ongoing dialogue with members through Professional Advisory Service, engagement events and the clinical experiences of the trustees.

There has never before been such fundamental change of healthcare delivery as defined by the white paper and the effects of these changes are starting to be felt at the perioperative front line. The programme offers the delegates an understanding of the change agenda, coupled with clinical safety aspects of caring for perioperative patients as is so important to our delegates. In addition, there are some uplifting and motivating sessions for personal development. It also continues with a key message of AfPP of empowering individuals to speak out where necessary, particularly important during the transition period whilst the white paper embeds itself in healthcare strategy.
