We are delighted to announce the AfPP Innovation Awards for AfPP2011. Categories include:

• AfPP2011 Best Innovation Award
  This award is to celebrate a new groundbreaking innovation (product or service) within any area of perioperative practice.
• Best Innovation in Anaesthetics
  This award is to celebrate the development of an innovation (product or service) which has influenced the care given to patients during anaesthesia.
• Best Innovation in General Surgery
  This award is to celebrate the development of an innovation (product or service) which has increased efficiency and productivity intraoperatively.
• Best Innovation in Patient Safety
  This award is to celebrate an innovation (product or service) which has contributed significantly to perioperative practitioners delivering safer patient care.
• Best Innovation in Infection Prevention
  This award is to celebrate an innovation (product or service) which has assisted perioperative practitioners with infection prevention.
